Documents and Statements by the Single Spark Collective
These are some of the major documents and statements by Single Spark Collective, a small Marxist-Leninist-Maoist group which existed in the United States from 2006 to 2008.
“Early Steps Toward Revolutionary Organization: A Proposal” — This document was initially prepared in the fall of 2005 before the Single Spark Collective was formally created. It was slightly revised to its present form and adoped by the SSC upon its founding on on May 1st 2006. It was a semi-public document to be distributed to close friends of the Collective.
“What We Believe Statement” — The principles of unity of the Single Spark Collective.
- “Revision Statement” — Upon the revision of the “What We Believe Statement” in Sept. 2007.
- “A Commentary on the Revision of Single Spark’s ‘What We Believe’ Statement” — by Scott H. (Written after the SSC disbanded in Oct. 2008.)
- “A Discussion on the Mass Line”, between two former members of the SSC, on Oct. 3-4, 2008. This discussion shows that while there once appeared to be agreement on the principles of unity with regard to the mass line and other matters, in reality there was not.
