Reviews and comments on
Helen Czerski: Storm in a Teacup: The Physics of Everyday Life [2015]

Many people in our group viewed this as a light but good read and most of us really enjoyed it. Our most common ratings were from 7 to 9 (on a scale of 0-10), although three people gave it lower ratings. Our group average was a quite respectable 6.7.

Kevin and Scott liked the writing style, but Kirby disagreed—though he still felt the book was well worth reading. Rosie hated the writing style and said it was way too wordy. She thought the author continually wandered off the main point and found her “humor” annoying. She did learn some interesting facts, though. Even more strongly, Shel rated the book “0” and felt that the author was patronizing and often didn’t explain things well.

Most people thought there were a number of interesting facts in the book. However, Vicki commented that it was a very light read and probably more directed at non-scientist-oriented folks.
