Most people in our group liked this book a lot. It got two 10's and a 9, and the average was 7.1. Three of us were less enthusiastic, though. One issue which came up was whether the book undercuts religion or supports it. Several of our group thought that by giving plausible scientific explanations for what religious people take to be miracles, Pellegrino was undercutting religion. But Scott's review argues that the thrust of the book is more to champion the notion that science and religion "agree with each other".
